When looking into buying folding walkers, it is important to remember that some of them might better suit your needs than others.
The folding walkers that are most likely the most useable for most people are those that include a one-button closing mechanism. This is advantageous because it allows for the user to do a quick fold with only one hand.
One of the features that you should consider when looking for folding walkers is the weight of the devices. The ones that are best at incorporating lightweight, yet sturdy material are those that are made of aluminum. If the walkers are made of another substance, there is a good chance that it might be lacking in either sturdiness or lightness.
Some of the features of many folding walkers include:
• Adjustable height – Although most people using walkers are not getting taller, there is a chance that they will in the future be a little shorter in stature from back problems. If they find that this is the case, it is nice to have folding walkers that will allow the user to adjust the height if he or she needs to.
• Warranty – Many makers of folding walkers include lifetime warranties with purchase. If the walker you may be considering buying does not include a lifetime warranty, consider something else.Most folding walkers weigh less than 10 pounds. Many can weigh closer to 5-6 pounds. They are easy to use and lightweight enough for pretty much anybody to be able to feel comfortable with them.
