It used to be that baby activity walkers seemed
to stress “walkers,” but not “activity.”
Now, in recent years, things have changed.
The makers of baby activity walkers have done quite a bit in
recent years to focus on including activities with these walkers
that will improve the fine motor skills as well as the cognitive
skills of children.
Some of the features these baby activity walkers include are:
• Sounds – Many of these walkers
have buttons and knobs that children call push and turn. When
they do so, sounds are made. These sounds are like “rewards”
for the children when they figure out how what to do to get the
sounds.
• Moving parts – These baby activity
walkers also have moving parts that allow children to better understand
movement. They might include a little door that opens and closes
or other similar items.
Baby activity walkers cost more depending on how many activities
are included on them, but many would agree they are well worth
the cost.
